Every player creates a team by selecting 25 велогонщики. You can earn points with your own team based on the stage results, final classification in the grand and small tours, and the results for the classics and semi classics. When one of your riders becomes 9th in the Tour de France, he receives 35 points. When another rider of your team becomes 2nd in the Tour de France, you will receive another 100 points extra, etc.. This is how it works for all tours, stages, classics and semi classics.

You can make a team for the whole season, and thereby compete for the prizes in the General Classification, but you can also submit a team specifically for the matches for the 1st period. For the 1st period we have a special prize classification. It could be that your team, specifically made for the whole year, is so good that it will win a prize in the 1st period.

When the 1st period runs to an end (May 2012), we open the database to submit new teams for only the 2nd period. The teams that are submitted for the GC and for the 1st period can not be changed then!!

The Team Time Trials do not count in the Cycling Year Game!

For the Classics Classification the following races are included: all classics and semi-classics, as well as the road race during the Olympics and the World Championship. For the Tour Classification the following races are included: All large tours and small tours.
